Nine party favorites from the original PartyJunky list, plus one alcohol-free treat.
These are the drinks that topped the PartyJunky list back in the day. Nine classics for the party, plus one with no alcohol at all. All measurements are in ounces (oz).
Halloween Punch
A big bowl for a big crowd.
- 8 oz vodka
- 24 oz Sprite
- 8 oz ginger ale
- 8 oz club soda
- 1 scoop orange sherbet
- 1 scoop lime sherbet
Pour the vodka, Sprite, ginger ale and club soda into a punch bowl with ice. Float the sherbet on top.
Dr. Pepper
A beer drop shot.
- 1 oz 151-proof rum
- 1/2 oz amaretto
- Cold beer
Pour the rum and amaretto into a shot glass. Fill a mug 3/4 full with beer. Drop the shot glass into the beer and drink it down.
Almond Chocolate Coffee
A warm one for cold nights.
- 3/4 oz amaretto
- 1/2 oz dark crème de cacao
- 8 oz hot coffee
Pour in that order into a stemmed coffee cup. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Jell-O Shots
- 8 oz vodka
- 1 package of Jell-O gelatin, any flavor
Make the gelatin as the package says and add the 8 oz of vodka. Chill until firm. Cut into cubes and serve in small paper cups.
Wild Wendy
- 1 1/2 oz vodka
- 1 oz Malibu coconut rum
- 1 oz orange juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1 oz cranberry juice
Fill a collins glass with ice. Add everything and shake or stir well.
Cosmopolitan
- 1 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 1/2 oz cranberry juice
- 1 lime wedge
Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Put the lime wedge on the rim.
Mint Julep
- 2 1/4 oz bourbon
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp water
- 4 sprigs of mint
Strip the leaves from 2 mint sprigs. Mash them with the sugar and water in a collins glass until the sugar dissolves. Fill the glass with shaved ice and pour in the bourbon. Stir until the outside of the glass frosts. Garnish with the last 2 mint sprigs and serve with straws.
Sex on the Beach Shooter
- 1/2 oz vodka
- 1/4 oz melon liqueur
- 1/4 oz raspberry liqueur
- 1/2 oz pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz cranberry juice
Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into an old fashioned glass.
Skip & Go Naked
- 1 1/2 oz gin
- 4 oz cold beer
- 2 oz sour mix
- 1 dash grenadine
Mix everything in a highball glass and stir well.
Black Cow (no alcohol)
An old-school float for anyone who is skipping the booze tonight.
- 8 oz sarsaparilla or root beer
- 2 oz vanilla ice cream
Pour the sarsaparilla into a collins glass. Add the ice cream and stir well.
